All of the ivory, bone, and baskets in the Gallery are made here in Alaska and most are documented with the name and biography of the Alaska Native carver. Each carving is a "one of a kind." We maintain a large inventory of bone and ivory carvings, and while do try to keep these photos up to date, availability of a particular item is subject to prior sale.
Although carver Jim Bell is not an Alaskan Native, he developed his extraordinary carving style when he became part of his wife's Alaskan Native community. The masks are made of whale bone (vertebra), and are all between 6 and 8" tall.
